A song that is heavily inspired by the Doors ... Franz is just singing like Jim Morrison :) One of my favorite of one of my favorite bands.
Actually musically is inspired with Echoes by Pink Floyd, whose samples i hear all over the track.Vocally.. I agree with you.

The fantasy sequences, which do a sort of headshop take on Alejandro Jodorowsky's surreal cult film The Holy Mountain, are meant to alleviate the burden of excitement during some of the band's jammier excursions. But they mostly just suggest that Dead Meadow does, indeed, have a sense of humor. Simon along with bassist Steve Kille and drummer Stephen McCarty strut about in wizard garb. During one animated sequence, a group of bipedal weed-creatures self-immolate, then the moon inhales the smoke and, well, you get the idea. Открыв их для себя совсем недавно, я сразу отказался от соблазна запихать английскую команду Crippled Black Phoenix, в какие нибудь стилистические рамки. Так бывает когда сталкиваешься с чем-то по настоящему самобытным. Грандиозная музыка коллектива захватывает, заставляя внимать каждому звуку и вспомнить о монументальных работах классиков прогрессивного рока прошлого...

Что-то по-настоящему самобытное сейчас сделать наверное, невозможно - но этим музыкантам почти удалось. Очень, очень интересный коллектив.
